I worked for Microsoft’s search engine team, previously called Live Search and now called Bing, from September, 2008 through July, 2011. I was the primary author of the Bing Webmaster Center blog for most of my time on that team (I switched over to the Bing Editorial/SEO team in October, 2010).
Please note that I will discuss nothing in this blog that is in any way Microsoft proprietary intellectual knowledge about the way the Bing search engine indexes content or how their algorithm works. To be clear, I do not represent Microsoft in any capacity in this blog.
